President Trump arrived at the Daytona 500 Speedway February 16, with his motorcade. The President and the First Lady Melania Trump rounded the speedway in the armored special car, nicknamed the Beast, because of its heavy armor.
Parked next to the race cars, some 30/33 ready to do the 500 mile race, are lined up ready to go. Grand Marshal President Trump announces, “Gentlemen, starts your engines!” The special race cars start their engines and the race is on.
Line up of the cars, first and last, is determined by their qualification speed. I listened to the Daytona 500 Speedway race on Channel 2 Fox, for some hours hoping the two announcers would elaborate on the Grand Marshal some, and the fans wearing their MAGA hats — didn’t hear it.
The two announcers should of commented some on the very special race cars. They could of slipped in a little on the design and construction as they were calling the race, fans present and those listening would of enjoyed it.
They did say that there were 5 Toyotas, a Mustang, Chevies and Fords. These special made race cars have a cage around the driver to protect him, they wear a very protective head helmets, fuel tanks are puncture proof rubber, sleek designed bodies to cut through the air at 200 miles an hour, etc. The custom motors are very expensive, not sure. 50 thousand, 75, 100?
Also the Thunderbirds flew over 3 times, it was a great event. Another stroke of genius for President Trump as the Grand Marshal.
