Thanksgiving starts from a notable historic occasion with the Pilgrims
In this new settlement Plymouth, William Bradford was appointed as the first governor. The original plan was to give everyone a plot of land and whatever they produced would go into a store for everyone to select from.
A forerunner to communes and a form of collectivism, which doesn’t work after time.
This didn’t work as to how farming wasn’t known to some, so it was left to others, many became slackers and the experiment failed.
One of the first known ventures with socialism and identifying it as a fruitless system.
Governor Bradford finally figured out this system wasn’t going to work.
All were reassigned a plot of land which they could operate and produce under their own management. Whatever is yielded from this you keep, if there is a surplus you can sell it. That’s when the pilgrims began to prosper.
Capitalism was working way back then.
With this way of being self-reliant and providing a prospers settlement, they got together and celebrated,
Praying and eating prepared wild turkeys with what else was available.
Thanksgiving started from this notable historic occasion and the beginning of one of our famous once-a-year traditions.
Thanks, Rush Limbaugh for bringing this to my attention, a much-needed story for the readers to know.
Notable books for parents that teach much-needed history of this great country are the five Rush Revere books,
As they teach in an interesting way, informing the reader of events that aren’t taught in the public schools anymore.
The Rush Revere books are written for the ages from 8 to 11, but all ages can find noted information that should be remembered of our US history.
My interest in noting the books here is again is how the public school system needs a complete overhaul. And sense what should be taught in the public schools isn’t, these books serve to teach fundamental examples of what made this country the greatest ever in world history.
The five Rush Revere Books are:
- Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims
- Rush Revere; and the First Patriots
- Rush Revere and the American Revolution: Rush Revere and the Star Spangled Banner
- Rush Revere and the Presidency
The Rush Revere books if interested can be found at any Reputable book store.
The cost is very low as compared to the knowledge acquired from their contents.
One of the ardent and beneficial attributes for US citizens is the history of the great nation they live in.

I want to give a shout-out to Sean Hannity on the Tuttle Twins Kids Books that he mentions.
I first heard about them while listening to Sean Hannity’s radio show, of which he repeats about them on the following days.
I want to mention them here as they are a children’s series introducing young readers to economic, political, and civic principles.
My concern for youngsters going to a public school is what gets involved in things not related to what’s with the school’s teachings, drugs, undesirable attendants, possible sex.
Books are an introduction to what they’re written about. Of course, books of knowledge are what I’m concerned about here.
Each household should have a bookcase for the grownups, along with the youngsters
Fiction is fun to read and interesting, but knowledge increases the mind’s wisdom and speaking ability.
